44? Cheeky bugger. 35's closer. But a bit optimistic.

Thanks very much guys.

I'm only about half as old as I feel at the moment though :( . Still the system is working well and even the Rover is running so I can't complain.

What did I get for me birthday? Nothing yet, not been at home long enough, but I'm hoping for a contribution to the power cable fund. :D

Cheers

Hi Henry

Unfortunately the one in the office is still the main rig. Can't see that changing in the forseeable future, except perhaps when we decide to change premises..... in which case I'll have to buy a caravan or ask the landlord about a house extension. :D

There are a number of drawbacks about having the main system in the office, some obvious, and some not so obvious. At least the existance of the companys Omiga Audio division justifys it's existance there a bit, although I'm pressing hard for a dedicated system for on hand "first" testing, not least because current trialing takes a long time due to the fact that we use several disparate systems (not only in location but in every sense!!), but also having the first "is it likely to be any good at all" tests done on my system means that I keep finding Chris Isaac (amongst others) in the Teac when pressing play after a long hard day, and some of the "reference" competitors cables come as a nasty shock (truly nasty often) if they are left in there unexpectedly...... Having said that, the has almost been fighting when it comes to the removal of a couple of them so they're not all bad.

Never seen so many different cables as the see days though. Interesting stuff.

Cheers

P.S. When we build another system though, at least we shouldn't be stuck for speakers..... :D:D

Hi

Yes the fund situation is indeed improving...... I feel some more speakers coming on.... :D:D

Cheers

Timpy,

I'm surprised you haven't set-up a dedicated listening room on-site yet.

Seems to be plenty of untilised space on that building, or am I wrong? There's that big room full of brik-brak (or whatever it is :confused) at the back of the buidling isn't there, but I suppose that's going cost a bit to fit out as there's no carpet in there, etc.

Alternatively, the conference room maybe with that special moveable speaker stash cloaking device - could hide a decent system behind there instead of all those speakers!! :D

Shhhssh Henry mate, don't alert the people at Omiga Audio, to the freeloading, rent dodging speaker museum they've got stashed in the Conference Room!! ;) At the moment they just think that that's where we keep WM when the medication's worn off!!

Cheers
