Why you can never 'win' with Mana

Wow what a laugh to see Marco's special kind of polite discussion over here.

Micheal, your problem now is Bubs self imposed excile from the quiet place and Marco's banning from naim forum.

Unfortunatly they are now singing from the same hymn sheet so plenty more of this come.

I am off to install 7 seperate spurs to service my system, f**k the house, f**k the expense, f**k the destruction and upheaveal. I have heard that it will subjectively make your treble slightly better and your bass a tadge deeper, well worth it.

Now what did I do with my centre lift mechanisam...

Tried that Ian, but I don't think the suspicious Lithuanian in question could be set up properly in the time we had with her.

Marco - continue with comments like that and you won't be welcome here for much longer. No one's interested in any bitchy remarks you may want to exchange with others of the PFM/Mana/Naim clan (sorry to have to put you all in the same boat ;) )

Michael.

Michael, that's fine.

But perhaps you might also like to tell garyi the same?

If you examine his last post, I'm sure you'll notice a fair degree of 'bitchy' remarks to say the least (amongst numerous factual inaccuracies).

Cheers.

Regards,
Marco.

Marco I applogise. I should know there is no use in this.

I'll leave it for you to self destruct.

As you always say "you'll hear no more from me on this"

Only I mean it.

Cheers

Mike sorry, I am doing your stress no favours, i'll behave.

(deep breath, step into lion's den)

Hi guys,

I have a 4 tier Mana amp stand, bought second-hand, ready assembled. How may I get the best from this?

On it I stack, from top to bottom (actually, I've nothing on the very top at present):

Meridian 602 transport
AS Dax Decade
AudioLab 8000S

This is my first bit of HiFi furniture; the price was good and so I sent for it. The previous owner had other bits of Mana stuff and seemed a serious buff, so I'm reckonning its properly assembled.

I've two particular questions:
1. how should I protect the wooden floorboards from the weight&spikes - at present I'm using pennies

2. there is a slight wobble, cause my newly exposed floorboards aint dead level - at the moment I've cheated with paper rather than twiddle with the spike levels

I dont enjoy DIY, so do tell me the tuning/fixing is easy.

Tony, I have this idea that James, Marco et all are really serious bosom buddies and have a competition once a month to see who can generate the thread with the most references to Mana in it.

The prize I believe a couyple of pints with JW and the kudos that goes with such an honour.

My earlier posts were of course just designed to show the futility of all this, but I have probably just helped James to get bevvied up for nothing over Christmas. Oh well, Can't win with it, can't win without it:rolleyes:

Tone - I might have to go that route unfortunately :(

Marco - your reaction is like the kid being told off saying "but he started it!" I'm not going to get into a pointless discussion about this though so this is the last word on the topic.

ditton - I'm sorry, you seem to have a genuine question but I think it's got to the point in this thread that you won't be able to get a sensible answer. I suggest that you send James a PM and he'll no doubt be more than willing to help you get the "center lift method" right ;)

As julian2002 predicted - this thread has now been closed.

Michael.
