Got £350 ish to spare on a tonearm
I'm not to sure what I am after so anything considered at the moment

Also looking to spend £250 max on a Nice Cartridge (MM or MC considered)

Am really looking to buy over the next week , thanks

How urgently are you after a cartridge?

I've got a VPI modified Dynavector 20X currently installed on my arm, but I've also got a Lyra Scala sat in a box that I've been meaning to install. As and when I get round to that if I prefer the Scala, the 20X will be going spare.

Hi.

Have a look at the Roksan Nema arm. Rega fit, unipivot arm for a bargain price about what you want to spend. If your TT has a stiff suspension or none then this may be ideal. see if you can get a listen. Unipivots aren't great on really springy bouncy TT, IMHO.

You might also if your really lucky find an older SME 309 say about 10 to 5 years old. If its newer you will have to pay more. I don't rate the vintage SME arms as they were designed to suit MM carts and not MC cart's IMHO.

Whats your TT ? Bit hard to suggest an arm without that info. Give Graham a ring at Retro Reproductions in Edinburgh. Hes a good guy and easy to deal with. He may have some arms in stock S/H.

thanks guys , should have added a bit more Info
The arm will be fitted to a NAS hyperspace/wave mechanic combo
As for the cartridge ....well I'm just putting the feelers out to see whats avalible at the moment
The DV 20x/vpi sounds interesting as I have always liked the DV sound , is this a high output MC ? whats the VPI conection ?

Hi

A Roksan Nema arm would work well and you can adjust the height easily to suit. However a NAS arm would also be a good choice too.

The Ace space arm would fit the bill but is a bit dearer than your budget. Why not give Tom Fletcher a ring ,nice guy and helpful too.
