Bangle quits BMW

Well I think it's lovely - but then, I like these, in fact everything E below about 40 ;)

Me too, had a late E30 Touring for a while and I still think it's one of the best looking estate cars ever made, albeit a small one! Only thing was mine was just a 1.6 and was a bit underpowered really. They didn't seem to do 2 or 2.5 versions of the estate after about H reg as far as I could tell.

When I no longer need my van I might start looking for a nice condition E30 M3, if there are any still about. Something like this:

...or maybe a 2002 for a real classic experience.

That's not an M3.

That's a 325i Motorsport edition.

I had one of those for about a year. Very nice, a lot cheaper than an M3 to buy and run and unless you're doing a lot of trackdays, it's a far better drive.

Oh and you get to sit on the proper side :D

Very nice Chris but it looks American to me.

That's the 528e which is US only (the bumpers are a dead give away).

The e28s are nice and the 525e is an interesting drive - lots of low end torque and good fuel economy. They're getting difficult to find now as most have been sacrificed to convert 2.5 m20 engines into 2.7 m20 engines (like Alpina did in the C2.7).

The Art Cars were a weird idea but some of them do look good. I've always liked that Lichenstein one....
