I have read somewhere Roger Waters and Doug Sax used ATC active speakers to master the well famous and splendid "Amused to Death"

I never heard the ATC production .. I just listened once the ProAC EBS that mounted the ATC mid and looks like the ATC50

Was the EBS the thing that looked like ATC 100s but all the drivers were centred in-line and not offset as in ATCs?
I never heard them but always heard good things about them on other forums.
I think the Roger Waters ATCs were 100s with a bass unit which travelled a bit further than the standard SL...
Mark Knopfler uses 2 1/2 pairs of 200s (or something) (5 channel) with their subs in the Chiswick studio. I was fortunate to be invited there. The sound was amazing....no - staggering. the studio manager/ consultant Dave played some pretty standard stuff through a CD player that looked like a £400 Philips thing through a Pro DAC through a 1980s API fully discrete desk. If I could get a sound like that, I'd be soooooooo happy.
