You can cetainly try the IAM test in driving a car and I wish you more luck than I had (tooth-ache didn't help one little bit).

More seriously, discovered when I was looking into 25 years ago you can do an "O"level (I know, I know they have thought of something else to call them now) in cookery, rock climbing, accountancy (I did that), pretty much whatever you like.

Just re reading your post; it is a bit worrying things have been "dumbed down" to such an extent.

The problem is that I think secondary modern schools were a failure. It was fine for the people that well in them but far too many people left them with no A levels at all. This led to them thinking they were a failure, so now schools make sure everybody leaves with something.

The problem is now it has gone the othe way.

There has to be better way of engaging people rather than the dumbed down level 1 qualifications sadly which is pre GCSE level. Given that my experience with Level 3 was far easier than GCSE it is quite frightening.

Like I say I left with no O levels.

I don't know what the answer is.

Wow bloody ell. I have walked down those rocks many of times after a few too many beers!

I went there this summer and mindful of the steep cliffs I always left the car in gear.

    Been camping there many times.
