A lot of my family have done this done and have done well and are happpy.

I have just come back froma holiday in Anglesey (Benllech) and have had many holidays here. This is the first time I have taken my car and just loved driving there. I love the sea air and the views. My heart rate was much reduced.

I will probably never do this but if i was to move my computer to business to North Wales would the fact I am English likely to loose me business?

I would like to hear opinions from Welsh people or English people who have done it. 90% of the Welsh always seem fine but I also hear lots of anti English conversations in pubs (always in English so the English can hear).

You'd get better results moving the business to Germany.

Or you could say your a distant relation of Owain ap Gruffydd..King of Wales.

It rains a lot in Wales, though as you're from Manc you'll be used to that. I think most Welsh people are OK about the English, unless they're Scousers.

Actually Manchester is pretty dry according to the actual rainfall statistics. I have been thinking about this today and just cannot see a market for it anyway. My current business has a target audience of around 100,000 (my part of South Manc) and a good half of these customers are lecturers/teachers etc. My customers rely on their computers all the time. In Wales I would imagine computers are used a lot less for business reasons so it will be a waste of time.

Didn't mean it to sound like that.

Its just in Manchester most my customers work for the service sector (education, finance etc etc). This sort of industry is much smaller in Wales.

Yep I would have trouble getting the generator to start every morning. I would also have trouble getting the gas lamps working :D

Oh and I can't ride horses.

You would lessen the probability of this happening by taking an interest in the country, its customs and its language. I think this is a not unreasonable thing to do any way but the locals will certainly like you more for taking on board some of their stuff.

Gettiing the place names right is a good place ot start and unfortunately many tv presenters make real hash of it.

two commons ones are Rhondda......not pronounced ronda but rhontha. The double dd makes a th sound.

    Dyfed.....not difed......the "y" is a "u" and the "f" is a "v".....so you get duv-ed.

Any way thats my bit for anglo - welsh relations.

Will some one tell me whats difficult about that?

(I've often heared bbc presenters getting it wrong thoiugh (how much are they paid ....25K /year at least i feel sure).

    What did you mean at?

You don't need a computer to herd sheep around on top of snowdonia....??

We ride sheep here, not horses. Oh... you mean that kind of ride!

Your comments about computers not being used as much are classic!

Stay put AT, not sure we want you down here!

South Wales dosn't count quite the same. I mean I doubt you would hear everybody talking in Welsh in Cardiff city centre but I may be wrong.

    Mostly right.

I believe there are welsh speaking pubs etc.

There are Welsh speaking (shall we say) hot spots through-out Wales.
