HIFICRITIC Petition

I am glancing at the latest edition of 'HiFi Critic' and MC has tested 16 different speaker cables, and they do sound different, and unsurprisingly he found the most expensive ( well almost ) the best XL Reference £10500 for two fifteen foot lengths.
Do you really not hear the diffference in cables?

I support more stringent testing, but if you think you are going to get these gurus to admit there is no difference in cables, well then good luck to you.

Chill pills all round.

I'm prepared to give HFC the benefit of the doubt aqua, given their clearly stated editorial aims. It could just be spin, yes. Besides all academic without enough support to petition.

10 signatures by my count. Sign or I'll send Ken Kessler round to take up permanent residence in your downstairs loo.

Reviewers cannot slate products in this kind of industry, there is lots of other mags for hifi companies to give their kit too.

Basically this 'mag' will shmuck up just like the rest of them. Otherwise they will have to pay for the kit to review.

Its all crap.

well i subscribe, and simply because i want them to write about gear that i can't afford and can't demo.

anyone who thinks that just because they wear two hats, as freelancers, that they leave all their bagage at the door is having a laugh.

Its the right idea but having lost jan+ half feb with a
bust back I'm afraid I'm not able to fork out £50 for it.

But, well, if they come to the conclusion that cables make no difference, it will save some people coming to the same conclusion the expensive way

People can decide for themselves on this + other.

WE've all got ears

(sorry didn't mean to start another debate)

How do we know if they are right or wrong in their judgement. This thread is a cable debate again, some hear some don't. Jim.

It will not make any difference - they are journalists not scientists - It's in their job title to stir things up.
