Got taken by wife today to see this film .Verdict, very good better than i thought it would be well worth a visit to the cinema .

Yep, definititely worth a watch in my book!

A few very over the top bits, which I won't give away - you'll know what I mean if youve seen it. But I suppose that's the nature of the films - can't really fault them for that.

Yet I couldn't help thinking as I left the cinema that with 20 odd years and however many billions of dollars, it really should have been a brilliant film rather than a good film!

Now Iron Man... Iron Man I loved! :)

Yup... the past films were mostly based on 'mystical' type things. The bit at the end is more like pure sci-fi!

Is the iron man enjoyable for adults, then?

Definitely, accessible to all ages, I guess, but probably more of an adult's film... The majority of comic book geeks in America are adults, after all!

My 8 year old enjoyed Iron Man immensely when I took him.

I don't personally believe comic book characters are source material for 'adult films' but a lot depends on what you enjoy.

I wouldn't blanket reccomend it to a man/woman in their 40's or 50's, so really it's not an adult film by my own criteria.

I saw it yesterday.

It is exactly what you expect for an Indiana Jones film.

Disappointing in respect of it's not moved anything along, nor does it push any boundaries etc. However, it does fit in with the other Indy films.

What I found most disappointing though was at the end, the very clear symbology of the hat at Mutt's feet. It seems overtly commercial to so blatently open the franchise up for two or three more films that way.

As a side note, prior to the film was the trailer for Kung Fu Panda, which looks like it should be very enjoyable.

sorry guys, i thought it was utter tripe. Aside from the fact it had Harrison Ford in it, there was nothing remotely indiana jones about most of it.

It was the victim of George Lucas storytelling at its absolute worst, and Steven Speilberg's obsession with soft focus ethereal lighting in all his modern films. It just looked like a bizarre mix of A.I and Tomb Raider.

It was also over the top, and scientifically inaccurate on many levels. Perhaps someone should have pointed out to the many thousands of idiots responsible for making the movie, there there are absolutely no magnetic substances in gunpowder.

As for surviving the nuclear blast in the fridge!!!

i thought it was absoltely dreadful it lost all credibilty with that fridge scene.if only we had known that during the cold war jump in your fridge and everything will be hunky dory!

I think that was a joke. Apparently people really where told to do that in the event of nuclear attack! The old ones were lead lined you see..

I especially loved the way Harrison Ford enacted his character. He simply rocked. the story was also fascinating enough.

The new south park episode sums it up quite well: Torrent it, China Crisis

Just saw it last night. I quite enjoyed ''iron man'' as a bit of fun as mentioned..

but ''indiana 4'' was absolutely dreadful. Utter codswallop.

Looking forward to ''Quantum of Sollace'' though. Best bond for a long time, and the debut was a good film, if a little low-tech.

Saw the Indy Jones movie on a flight the other week.

Damn glad I didnt waste my time going to see it at the cinema and all my friends that said it was awful were right.

A total waste of talent from all involved. I just felt no ones heart was in the making of that film at all. They left it ten years too late.

Criminal waste of Karen Allen.

Speed Racer on the flight back was Citizen Kane by comparison.
