... not to be outside on a day like today.

What's your excuse?

I've just got back in from a bit of an epic ride. Approx 25 miles up moor and down dale. A good 2000 ft of climbing and descending, all off road except the first 800ft climb.

Might go out and wash the car just to be outside.

Hi,

Been outside eating strawberries and having a beer.

Started sorting out the records in the garage but didn't get far. Pop in to listen to a few tunes, then back to the garage.

It's gorgeous in Shropshire..
I went out on the mosickle to get the papers (75 miles:D), then pollarded a large ash tree (with a bow saw, I might add - none of this fangled chain saw nonsense, besides I'm too scared to use it 20 feet up).

Started off grey and drizzling but has steadily improved throughout the day. Began with a car boot sale (and picked up some lovely vinyl and a Rupert The Bear Rotadraw set to sell on ebay), onto a pub lunch, then a 15 mile bike ride to work off the food and try out my new (to me at least) suspension forks. I'm now officially knackered.

A great day so far and it's only 6.17pm.

Too much hassle having a shave, shower, change clothes, put on shoes and so on to get ready to go out.
Also, sunny and hot days are bad for health. Bacteria, Wasps and even poisonous snakes like Adder roam the landscape!

Washing the car is no use cos once it is clean and shiny, the local birds use it for target parctice :(

Always stay indoors and listen to your CDs or type away on your keyboard. :)

my excuse was that i was knackered. spent friday shaking my ever diminishing arse on the dance floor until 4am in northampton then after just a few hours sleep i was off on saturday afternoon for a bike ride in milton keynes, ok not the epic that isaac describes but a respectable 26ish miles (flat though) then a bbq back at base camp into the evening.
today i got up, puttered about doing some paperwork i should have done in the week and then fell asleep to the turkish gp.
cheers

julian.

I have no Excuse, me and my mate have been playing a bit of get away in a £200 car :D

Yesterday we went to Jorderal Bank in Cheshire and today we went to Heaton Park we were going to play Golf but it was a bit too busy.

Hi,

Still not finished in the garage but it's time to go to the pub. It's pub quiz time.

I went walking over the weekend...really caught the sun yesterday tho - like a lobster now, and was unable to sleep last night...sigh...

How are you getting on with the Magura forks, now you've had more of a chance to ride on them, Isaac?

I was outside all day, in a field listening to music (V2005)....I'm only slightly sunburned on the side of my neck, thankfully, unlike some there who must be sore as hell today.

I saw :

Oasis - their only festival performance in the UK this year apparently, and it was great (especially 10 yards back and centre stage :D), though Liam comfirmed himself as being a prick by hardly speaking to the crowd at all apart from swearing at us, constantly stroking his own crotch, and making blow job gestures to a girl near the front who was sitting on someones shoulders who didn't look more than 16...

The Zutons - quite good, not a major fan of theirs but they put on a decent show, and my gosh does the girl who plays the sax have nice legs.

Jet - quite awful live I thought, compared to most. Just sounded really sloppy.

Presidents Of The United States Of America - absolutely superb :D, and a band I had only heard one song by before...but of all the bands I saw I enjoyed their half an hour set the best.

Maroon 5 - not as poor as I expected, though the guys voice still annoys me.

The Streets - bit of a bizarre stage show, involving giant inflatable bottles of brandy, bags of weed, and a lighter. Also skinner liked throwing his trainers into the crowd, he's sponsored by reebok or something. Not bad live, quite entertaining.

The Stands - these guys were okay but nothing that sets them apart from the other similar bands at the moment...generic indie was what sprung to mind for me.

Kaiser Chiefs - saw these guys from miles back, but heard them well...put on a good show, I don't like some of their songs but 'I predict a riot' really got the crowd going...wish I'd been closer to the front for them.

So well that I barely notice them. They just get on with the job quietly and effectively.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for my Fox rear shock which needs topping up every 5 miles or so. Seals have gone so it's either £25 and DIY, or £70 to have it serviced, or wait for next years stuff to come out and pick up a 2005 one for £100 or so. Of course, what I really want is a Magura Odin....

Well, I was outside, but doing DIY so it doesn't really count.

Nice one - always nice when you're still happy with a purchase after a longish period of time. I hope I can say the same for the Z1s after a few more rides on them. Shame about your rear shock though - I'd err on the 'bodge it until this years models are reduced in price' side of things personally, and keep your eyes peeled on ebay for when the prices drop.

Happy riding,

Chris.

I was at a rave in a field on sat then lay in the field most of sun. I've lost my shoes somewhere.
