A lovely, classy Jaguar..
I don't think a lot of people are aware of the blistering performance of the aluminium XJ in the 'r' guise..
" But the most powerful of the new XJs is the XJR, whose supercharged 400bhp engine provides genuine supercar performance: 0-60mph in 5sec dead and a top speed that would top 170mph were it not for electronic intervention. This is Porsche 911 performance in a four-door saloon. It costs £58,500. "
I personally love Jaguar - they make individual looking cars that don't have that ''me too, molded in a wind tunnel'' samey-ness about them that is so prevelant. History and performance, I just love em.
It's "lexus-style".... I couldn't afford a lexus!
It's my new mitsubishi galant (the red one... the green one is my old one):
The Jag looks like a lovely place to be but has an cigar in hand image problem.

horses for courses but the lexus looks less button festooned to me than the others.
one of the best things about my lexus was the flouro dash that just appeared when you switched it on.
I quite like the look of those, I saw a sporty version of one just the other day that I really liked. Are they expensive to run?
Agreed. I like a nice simple clinical ergonomical interior.
Hate button festooned.
As you guy like Jaguar styling what do think of this?
I was a huge Jaguar fan until Ford bought them, yes I'm biased.
Then there's the VR4. This is 280bhp twin-turbo V6, with the 4wd system and active yaw control out of the EVO. These will give about 17mpg, require servicing every 4500 miles and eat tyres, brakes, auto fluid and engine oil. They are NOT cheap to run.
"require servicing every 4500 miles "
bit severe Isaac?!
why SO often?
280hp isn't hta out of the way these days.
