I purchased my Marantz SR7008 about 5 years ago now.Everything worked fine for the first few months and then the dreaded red LED protection mode. It has been to the service centre under warranty several times only to have the same thing happen.After the 7th time and now out of warranty I decided to pack it away. It has now been several years since I used it. and today managed to download the service manual thinking that I could reset or perform diagnostic test. I have tried all the suggested button combinations but after about 10 sec it goes back into protection mode.According to the manual it is in thermal protection as the LED is on for 1 sec and then off for 1 sec. There is nothing connected to the AV apart from power lead any ideas would be very much appreciated.
