The Stig's identity revealed (allegedly)

errr, is it me or should good drivers make money from driving and good presenters make money from TV shows? I fail to see why you think Ben Collins is owed a chunk of money. He got paid for driving, he is a driver. He didnt create the stig, he doesnt write the shows, and guess what, he doesnt present top gear either.

I don't think, and have never said, Ben Collins is "owed" any money, but he has as much right to profit from his involvment in Top Gear as anyone else - why do you think does not?

He signed a contract knowing exactly how much money he was going to make out of it. Perhaps I'm in a minority who believes the contract must be honoured. I guess he must have tried to negotiate a better deal but wasn't successful. Also, we shouldn't forget that just like the other presenters have other jobs so does he.

He has no right to profit from top gear beyond his contract of employment.

Only because the Times made it public knowledge previously to Harper Collins taking the opportunity to make money out of a bbc (publicy funded by thee and me) creation.

So now we have a newscorp company making $$$ out of the bbc, the legal standing differs from the morality of the situation. I guess that happens a lot, the law as they say can be a bitch.
