water divining

What's known for sure is that there is no evidence at all that divining works. That means you are just as likely to find water if you dig at random.

As I say, there is a lot of evidence.....as the opening post suggests.

Beleive whatever you want to beleive guys.

It is fact though, as you yourself have observed, that dowsing is frequently used in many highly responsible applications.......such as oil exporation .....and the like.
So, which oil company uses divining to find oil? 'A fact' is usually, you know, factual.

How do you reconcile your claim with the actual fact that every rigorous trial of diviners has shown that they are mistaken?

What stupid arguement this is.

When I are you going to understand.......I really don't need to!

Sorry david, but why is Pauls argument stupid?
He has reffered to a fact, you have not.

If you want people to take devining seriously then some factual evidence should be put forward. So far all we have is a few people say they believe and therefore it must be true.

come on guys, surely science has an answer to everything!!!

his employers, united utilities, said that divining rods were not standard issue but added " we can`t deny that steve has achieved some uncannily accurate results"

But that is no proof, is he lucky?

Science can not prove everything, many things are still just theory.
There is no evidence to say divining works or that it is worth pursuing in a scientific way, as yet!

As Paul has already said, any scientific scrutiny has shown it to be worthless.

The odds are stacked against it.

Schroter worked alongside professional Hydrogeologists on a variety of groundwater development projects in Sri Lanka, the Philippines, the Dominican Republic, Congo, Niger, Yemen, Cape Verde Islands, Kenya, Namibia, and the Sinai peninsula in Egypt; to locate over 2000 boreholes with project success rates ranging from 80% to 96%....even in these desert areas where the comparable conventional methods achieved success rates of only 10 to 50%.......... Schroter proved to be more successful than the Hydrogeology team by a factor of 4X !

what would be the point for wishing it not to work....?

Interesting article....thanks

:D

You haven't posted anything that challenges my assertion.

And one wonders why Herr Schroter hasn't taken Randi for his $1000000.
