there must be still out thre ales/bitter aficionados( connesiours) of great british ales, i hope, let me start with one of my favourite one,
OLD SPECKLED HEN, named after the first MG auto mobile that used to do the run-around for the factory,
nando.

Golden Glory from Badger Ales, mmmm, used to live just across the river from the brewery. Also, Pigs Ear from Uley Brewery, though not had that one for a long time cos I moved away from Glos.

are they still being brewed?
nando.

Badger Ales are still going strong - they make Tanglefoot as well and various other ales, I'm sure that Golden Glory is still available though not so sure how many pubs outside Dorset would have in on tap (seen it bottled in Tesco though). I don't live there any more so only get it down my neck when I go back to Blandford occasionally.

Uley brewery still makes Old Spot, Pigs Ear etc. Again, probably not sold too far afield from Glos, but have seen it at beer festivals. Worth a visit to the Stroud area just to seek it out Nando - it's a beautiful part of the country, where I grew up.

i love the coutry, my friend owns the ashby canal boat com. he rents long bouts out(see website) bsed in stock golding, we go twice a yyear on the 64 footer and stop to moor in plces that are not in the map, nice very old countrry traditional pubs, we also moor at market bolsworth, it will be nice to get a bunch of us to go, the ales i tried are of local brews but super.

All the ales local to where i live locally are fullers just a stone away from me is the brewery, the other is green king,

the worst so called " ale/stout " that i had was in skipton it was called OLD FART, in bristol they had theakstons in draught, old peculier, nice.

next month i am going to suffolk for three days then to see a friend in bristol , he should know where to find it, cheers,
nando.

the one that i did not like from fullers is DISCOVERY but i do like london pride, ocassionally one ESB,

just went to the chiswick brewery and they were serving chilton with a pint of london pride for£2.50, bargain but you was only allowed one, arghhh.

good grief, i found a pub here in london that serves old peculier on draught, and you would not belive where.
