has anyone tried BADGERS TANGLE FOOT ?

yes .A great beer avalable bottled from asda.Still lamenting the demise of wychwood fiddlers elbow but moorhouses blondewitch from skipton is not a bad substitute. Can you get holts beers down the smoke? I recomend maple moon . Great with a curry !

Heres another great ale to add to the list .Cains of liverpool Double Bock .A sweet rich german style beer that goes down all to easely but at 7.5% treat it with respect!. Find it and enjoy!

That's about the starting point of a good few of the local zyders.
...For which Rob and Simon may be overdue some exposure ;)

(Bunny suit and respirator recommended)

Next time you're down this way I can drag you to a place that where the declared %abv starts at 6% and the brewer admits they've no real idea except it can run to to nearly double that on occasioan... and they zyder is dayglo orange. Actually there are *ahem* several outlets meet such a criterion.

Did I mention I like cider and tend not to drink it ..?

Start making your own!

I've been making beer at home for about 6 years now (my Dad got me into it). Great fun and very rewarding.

You don't need lots of very expensive kit and you'll end up with top quality beer which works out at circa 50p a pint.

The only hard bit is trying to make it last more than a few weeks once it's ready.
