Forum logo competition!

OK, as promised, I'm launching the forum logo competition. The basic requirements are:

Size: preferably not more than double the height of the current logo. Width can be as wide as the forum page (ie it could be a banner) but I'm sceptical as to how that would look. Must be in the form of a non-interlaced GIF file (upto 256 colours)...please, no animated GIFs :rolleyes: .

Colours: should fit well with the "ZeroGain vBulletin 3 Grey" style so the dominant colours are blacks/greys/oranges.

Style: the more minmalist the better :). Must contain the words "zeroGain.com".

Tagline: I personally like the tagline as it is and I think we should keep it. I'd be willing to consider alternatives, but I have a strong preference for the current one.

Please attach entries to your posts. If the file is too large to be attached, then it's too large to be the logo ;)

It's a fairly open ended competition - not really sure when I'll choose the winner...need to have a few more entries first :D

Dont close it early, I love doing stuff like this... I will come out with some more designs probably in the next few days - I have time off to do it too :D

my art skills are poor - hence i'm a programmer so could some one do an old school bubble writing naim style logo just to piss off wadia miester? ;)

Julian, here's the closest I could get, mostly going from memory and the logo's I could find on the web. Hope this was the effect you were after.

Some excellent contributions so far and there's one that's the clear leader so far IMO (I'm not saying which :JOEL: ). Just a little reminder about the size though, try to keep the height down. The logo will appear at the top of each page and as such the taller it is, the more "wasted space" there is on each page. It can be a bit taller than the current logo but not much. In fact, I'll set an absolute maximum height of 100 pixels.
