Hey Bl21DE3,

You pretty much seem able to draw anything (Im impressed!)

How about overlaying the label on an LP in circular writing saying 'Zerogain' (as the band) and your handle to the missing groove (as the album title) ?

This would surely win on all counts!!! and if not, Michael has been spending too much time with Swiss referees!!

;)

Hmmm... cool idea bottleneck, give me a little time to see what I can do with it :).

Edit: I'll post the finished image once the bloody Pipex DSL Space server decides to let me log in!

Yes, the logo is really good, I especially like the BL21DE3 serial number and the track listing. Well done.

Now if you could just shrink it to the correct size and ensure we can still read the track listing we'll have a wiinner I think. :p

thats awesome mate, I cant believe how good you are at this stuff.

If I ever do a website, you're hired!!

:)

tell you what you could do Michael???

How about the whole label as the front page where you select the part of ZG that you want to visit by clicking the track.. e.g. 1,2,3,4,5 on the record inner.

You could just use the 'zerogain' bit as the logo.

There you go, a new menu page, and a logo in one!!!

hehe dont know if thats practical, but I think it would make an awesome menu page.

Chris

Chris - it could probably be done, but it's way too much work and, for the sake of vBulletin upgrade "easiness" I prefer to keep as close to their standards as poss.

Michael.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I realise that the LP logo idea is too large for what we need but I thought I'd see what bottleneck's concept could look like, plus it gave me somehting to do last night as the rain stopped me from preping/painting my phono stage cases. Time to get back to the more standard logos I think :). Just had a mad thought, how about a zerogain t-shirt with the LP logo?

Zerogain beermats ?

Well I managed to tear myself away from Full Spectrum Warrior long enough to toy around with another idea for the forum logo. I reckon the buttons/dials look ok, but I'm not sure about the actual text for the forum name/tag line. It doesn't seem to integrate with the rest of the image. Any suggestions/comments folks?

Make it look like it is etched or carved out, I know its a pain as you've copied each switch and it's ident but but the buttons kinda spoil the 3 d effect, not being piccy I think its excellent, was gonna try something like this myself but haven't had the time, I also think the background would look better if you gave it a brushed look, ie gaussian blur then motion blur at about 30 degrees and kinda looks more authentic if you use copper gradient and desaturate it, may sound like gobeldygook but I'm sure you know what i mean, I think this is the best sofar, but don't think Mike wanted to muck about with the menus, why not have just 2 big knobs with logo between them.

I defo think you should win blade you'ver put a fair amount of work,I know how much effort they require and for that you deserve a pat on the back.

AK, here's a version with some of the enhancements that you suggested. It does look better with the brushed effect and the indented text helps too. I wasn't intending to replace the menu system, I just thought I'd replace the usual Aux, CD etc. with the forum sections.

P.S AK, my username isn't blade. It's actually BL21DE3 which is the one of the strains of E.coli that I've worked with.
