I think it is a rather poor show for a forum member to make threats via PM.

I'm saddended to hear someone did that. If a person feels they cant express themselves sufficiently in the forum then resorts to such a pathetic alternative they ought to be ashamed of themself.

It certainly appears that way to me at times too... looks like he spoils for an argument. Nevertheless, I think this can be quite amusing at times too :MILD:

You're probably right. I myself have been here (and other hifi forums for that matter) much less of late, and my interest is on what seems to be a never ending decline... but lets face it, theres only so much you can talk about and having spent most of my time on the sidelines, its pretty clear to see that the same topics crop up over and over again. :)

Sorry to hear about that incident Bub. Hopefully you received an apology after the heat of the moment.

On the other hand it would be a dull forum without the lighter hearted banter and debates.

I often visit ZG before going out to the pub or whereever or late at night - it's my favourite hi-fi forum not least because of the diversity of its membership and the opinions expressed, often expressed with insight and wit (if not a large amount of tolerance on occasions!).

If I was going for a out for a beer or wanted to join a forum member or two to listen to eachothers kit I guess 'Bub' / James would be pretty high on the list of those frequenting these parts whose company would be appreciated......

Bub - I have never made threats to you via PM so I have no idea why you would say I have "got a nerve". I hope I have misunderstood.

    Thats not a threat.

You said on the thread to PM you for details of your job. Then when I PMed you then you got all coy. So I said I would search the web to find out. That isnt a thread. BTW - I never looked I am not that interested.

I would never threaten you with anything bub. Its just a hifi forum its not important. I understand someone got you into trouble before but there is no need to jump to conclusions.

In the context of the discussion about my employers, that is an implicit threat.

Explain why it was so important to you to know exactly where I work & exactly what I do?

In the context of remarks you were making at the time about forum usage at work, I interpret it as an implicit threat.

I didnt ask where you worked - I asked what you did. You said on the thread to pm you and via pm previously you told me what your job title was. hardly surprising I should ask what it involves.

As I recall you stated you had got into bother previously. I also asked what job gave you so much freedom etc. There was no threat.

I would never do such thing. Especially as I am just as guilty as you if not more so!

I suggest we take this off the forum via PM. It is my sincere wish to persuade you that you are mistaken.
