scalford hall hifi show 2011

Nothing seems to have changed apart from a few people dissing, we still don't know what is happening with the show.

Why the **** has my post from Sunday (and Mr Dunns reply) been deleted?

All I said was that I would only be involved in the Wigwam show (if it went ahead) if I was guaranteed that Mr Dunn wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the place - seems like that isn't exactly a minority opinion.

Well the facts have now been posted at Wigwam, and guess what, I was right. When you take away all the marketing and face saving bollocks Chester Group have pulled out of the show.

Wigwam have finally got up the courage to do it themselves, and good for them, and I wish the show every success, and even though I know it wont be accepted I would be willing to sponsor or support the show any way I could short of taking a room like last year and showing product, which is a no-no, this should be a trade no go area. We will see if Flatty tries to creep in again.

I shall grow a beard in the meantime and wear a toupee so I can sneak in as a visitor :JOEL:

Fabulous, lessons in how to make yourself look like a cock in public.

fantastic publicity.
You are living in a completely different state of reality than I am considering as I have been proved to be right. And BTW Zanash as well who started this thread.

Richard.

I think what gets on peoples nerves when dealing with you is that what you say, is for the most part true, it's just the way you constantly glory in what you perceive to be other peoples misfortunes that annoys people.

Why are you not happy like the rest of us that Scalford will go ahead?

You are part of the industry. Why alienate yourself from it?

Andrew.
I thought you were ignoring me.

Right, once again for the umpteenth time, I am very happy the show goes ahead, I always wanted the show to go ahead, as a last resort I would have done it myself, that surely should be enough to convince any normal person. I am just getting at the <moderator deleted> like yourself who have spent the last two weeks calling me a liar and/or dissing me about it.

The amount of face saving and arse licking going on at the thread at Wigwam is farcical, and you seem to be weedling in on a free room again

I don't alienate myself from the industry, I *deliberately* alienate myself against people like you.

Who has to pay, not seen that info posted yet?
From what I see no one pays for rooms, just entry, unless you have started selling record. It is supposed to be for non trade. You tried last time to make out you were non trade until I shopped you to Chester Group, and that is what is behind all this trouble you have been trying to make.

And it was such a positive outcome for all concerned.
So why has it wound you up so much and caused you to continually join in any thread I post on to insult and diss me - really good outcome  The price of the rooms was £500, that is what I paid, you kicked up such a stink they felt sorry for you and gave it to you for £200, so are you now saying you owe them £300.

The hypocricy is astonishing as now we have a post in the thread at Wigwam from Murray Johnson (made up name) who wants to help organise and show there. For those who don't know his real name is Guy Sargeant and his company is Puresound. And he posts on forums with all three names.

I deleted it due to a personal comment. I was trying to prevent the thread going the way it has. I'll undelete an edited version now. I have a feeling this thread is going to be locked/deleted soon anyway:(.

Actually I am a Gin and Tonic person, when I drink which is rarely. I will never walk away, I can be kicked out and have been many times when people don't like to hear the truth. So far your posts have just been personal comment, not once have you addressed the issues being discussed - so your purpose being here is what? just to diss me!

Oh dear, you miss the point completely.

As someone who could possibly be a future customer I would be put off dealing with you by seeing your true colours online.

You really should walk away from the keyboard, you are looking self centered and bitter, not a good company logo.

If I came on board at Wigwam with a false name and not listing myself as trade and not paying the £50 and never posted controversially how long do you think I would last. PLUS it is against your AUP. PLUS he doesnt list himself as trade, PLUS he hasn't paid the £50, and you only need to read the recent thread here for peoples opinions on that.

As I say pure hypocricy, and I stand by it.

Please stop talking about hings you know nothing about. Guy is well known to the mods. Infact I endorse his position of being anon, I wouldn't have it any other way and I suspect the rest of the moderators would say the same.

I think with Guy, the thing is he really would like to talk about horn speakers, about vitavox drive units, about horn flares, about triode valves.

Richard - I think it's an unfortunate thing though, that internet perception can result in a different attitude from forum members and even moderators (I was one once, and I know that its just another person, who has emotional response just like everyone else).. nobody is perfect and we are all affected by opinion.. take for example the fact that you dont want to sell products to flatpoley because of internet arguement. THe same thing, in reverse if you like.

One thing is for sure, when you do have strong opinions on a forum, it definately increases forum traffic. It's the old ''car crash viewing'' thing, none of us want to, but we all drive at 30 mph to look at the crash..

I'm not ''having a go'' - but it would be nice to see more interesting, constructive, positive NEW forum posts coming up. For example new ideas in the DIY section, new music in the music section (that's what it's all about, right?), new products and equipment in the hifi section, rather than arguements.

I've got to hand it to Rob for really putting his back into it of late. Well done. It takes a positive effort to keep places like this interesting, and that's down to everybody.

I entirely agree - it's a bit of a distasteful way of creating forum traffic though.

It would Indeed.
