Nomoretweaks , the Uk is just really badly served when it comes to horns, Avantgardes were the only manufacturer around, I had to travel to hear something , you are more than welcome to pop around any time, I have the Alpha's and soon a pair if the smaller Affascinate to demonstrate, Keith.

    Keith,
Are you going to be exhibiting the cessaro horns at the heathrow show?, seeing as you are the UK distributor it would be see you the products at a public event.
Much more genial to meet the public and show the products to them than on just internet forums?
Any plans to have a dealer network for them in the UK at all?
It would be nice to hear something different from usual coloured box, warm inaccurate, bloated bass and unmusical speakers that adorn the usual SET valve amp displays?

Perhaps if there were just one UK show, which even faintly resembled Munich say, then I might be tempted!

These replaced a pair of Wilson Alexandrias X2's. The customer has already ordered the full Gamma system with 12 bass bins built into the wall of the listening room!

thats why the question was "whats the best pair of speakers YOU have ever heard" not asking simply what the best was.

I heard the Eidolon Acoustics Avalon, that was quite an impressive set of speakers :)

that's the speakers, which were the most impressive to me so far :

    1. Avantgarde Trio with Basshorn, at H.Fromme's home, the owner of Avantgarde Acoustic.

    2. 5way full front hornloaded ALE system in suburb of Tokyo

    3. 4way full front hornloaded AudioNote system at Kondo San home, ex owner of Audio Note.

    4. Magico Ultimate hornloaded system at B.Nachtigalls home in San Francisco.

    5. Tannoy corner GRF with Tannoy silver 15" at Hifi Plus in italy

they were superve, dev the ones i had where adjustable to become open buffle, doing and re-mixing reggae from jamaican studios when they where using parametrics on eq mode we had to re-mix the amount of incorrect frequencies so we needed the almost if not the perfect speaker and those were it!!!!!! music to my ears, also two pairs of castle winchesters made specially for me by my friends who use to part own the company and i still use after 20 years they are to my ears superve, if not for my wife "she loves them" should they go to heaven i will get TANNOY CANTERBURY 15'S

One of the best speakers I can think of is the Musikelectronic Geithain RL901K. Its incredibly open and dynamic. Its active, and only about £8k.

But they don't have any bass trim controls (I think) so need a large room.

They have an "Ortsanpassungsfilter" (straight translation: location match filter) that allows bass below a non-specified frequency to be attenuated in two steps. MEG also offers on-site calibration for the best possible match to your room. They are a professional company, after all.

Very good. I'd need to have them at home to be able to say more.

I heard em year before last (I think) and was very impressed - mind you they are not only £30k but about 8 foot tall as well. They were playing some appalling plinky plinky jazzy audiophile stuff and Auntie asked the man if he had any White Stripes - he said no but would AC/DC do. It was stunning and scary ... and bloody loud. Half way through one of the pictures fell off the wall and at the end some of the audience clapped.
